Baby Crying Contest in Tokyo
TOKYO SETS THE TONE WITH BABIES, GOLFERS and STARS. SUMO WRESTLERS REQUIRED…
Eighty-four babies born in 2006 took part in the annual baby crying contest at Sensoji temple in Tokyo April 28, 2007. The event is held to pray for the babies’ health and growth. The winner of the contest is the baby who cries the loudest. (Really?) Due to social ills noticed in the Western Hemisphere of late, cell phones were replaced by amateur Sumo wrestlers as the irritating catalyst.

OF COURSE, SOONER THAN LATER, THE CRYING NEEDS TO STOP:
Also in Tokyo, golfer Michelle Wie strikes a pretty pose with Kotooshu, the Bulgarian-born Sumo wrestler on hand for the world premier of ‘Spider Man 3’ (already #3?) on April 16, 2007.
Staying away from the United States ‘toilet tissue tussle,’ actor Mark Wahlberg squeezes out a photo session with Sumo Grand Champion Asashoryu at a news conference in Tokyo April 25, 2007. Wahlberg was in town to promote his new film, ‘Shooter.’
